How to build your own conservatory

Step by Step construction guide. The complete conservatory in only 26 steps.

Step 1. Select the site of the proposed conservatory. For more information on selecting the right site for the conservatory check out the Surveyors section.

Step 2: Construction work begins. The ground is excavated to a minimum of 450mm deep for the footings. Excavation exposes an underground drainage pipe.

Step 3: Additional steel mesh reinforcement is introduced to the concrete foundation to prevent the drainage pipe being crushed. An alternative method is to use concrete lintels to bridge over the pipe.

Step 4: Concrete is poured into the trench to form the foundations. The concrete is a minimum of 150mm thick.
